* Conducted detailed research on characterization of the renewable polymer Acacia
mearnsii gum, a bioresidue from the tannin industry in Brazil with potential
applications in food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry, likewise its
commercial analog gum Arabic.
* Contributed to a deeper understanding of structure-property relationships of
complex biopolymers and biobased materials, as evidenced by 5 publications (2
first-authored) and 1 book chapter.
* Worked with datasets from several different analytical techniques, especially Light
Scattering (DLS and SLS), SAXS, XPCS, Chromatography, Spectroscopies (UV-Vis, FT-
IR, Fluorescence), Zeta potential, Tensiometry, Rheology and Microscopy.
