Senior UI/UX Designer

Dear Sir/Madam,
It was with great joy that I read your call for tender, and I would like to apply for it. I believe that my
previous professional experience is a good fit for the outlined requirements, the topic interests me a
great deal and it would enable me to build on my knowledge and area of specialization.
I am therefore providing a bit of personal and professional information here.I successfully completed
my degree in Media Design at the UdK-Berlin in 2002. Since then I have focused on interface
solutions for digital media and have continued my training and development in this area, including
independently leading teams and projects as a lead designer and art director. I value attractive,
innovative, high quality and memorable design solutions very highly, but believe that essentials such
as effective usability, accessibility, and error-free, modern technical solutions are equally important
and that nowadays this translates into a cross-platform, responsive design. Knowledge of HTML5,
jQuerie, CSS3 etc. are naturally indispensable in this type of work.
Part of my degree studies focused on animation - from storyboard development to technical
realization. I have a base of knowledge in this area and have expanded on it through working on
many relevant professional projects.
Concurrent to my professional career, I have been involved in the production of offline products and
thus have been able to gain in-depth knowledge in areas such as corporate design, layout, finished
the artwork, prepress printing and illustration. I have always had a great interest in photography, both
analog and digital. Since my studies were interdisciplinary, I had the advantage of being able to
expand my knowledge in this area and then use it in my professional positions. For a long time, I have
also worked with stock photo agencies through which I market my photographs.
I currently hold the position of Senior User Interface Designer at Automotive Artificial Intelligence AAI
GmbH. They offer a virtual 3D platform replicating a real-world environment that tests the boundaries
of autonomous driving software, with the aim to make autonomous driving safer. Analytic software is
also offered in connection with these products. My primary responsibilities include the formulation and
further development of the software program. This includes conceptualization and design specification
production as well as supporting the implementation through communicating with the developers,
product managers et al., as well as managing and performing quality controls on the creative output.
 
As a media designer, I have held both permanent and freelance positions in recent years, including
work for agencies such as Designpur GmbH, Euroweb Internet GmbH, Krowne Communication
GmbH, Media Media GmbH, and Valid Digitalagentur, as well as clients such as Iden Großhandelshaus,
Duo Schreib und Spiel, Jamba! GmbH, Galileo Press GmbH, Tagesspiegel Berlin, Otto Versand
Hamburg, MAICO Diagnostic GmbH, PMG Presse-Monitor GmbH, Payleven Holding GmbH, Real
Estate Scout GmbH, and MAGIX Software GmbH & Co. KGaA.

My contract with AAI is limited. Therefore, I am looking for a new challenge. I would be delighted
