I am an IT specialist, dealing with server administration (SUN-Solaris and Linux-RedHat), installation, configuration and patching and also some administrative tasks of Windows Server 2008 and 2012. Additional I do some tasks as database administrator with Oracle (8, 9, 10g, 11gR2 and 12c) and a few times with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and 2012. Most of this tasks are required to install and configured Schlumberger and third applications in our clients and our offices (Studio, ProSource, ProSource Front Office, Petrel, Finder, LogDB, GeoFrame, ArcSDE, ArcGIS for Server and Desktop, OpenSpirit, Eclipse, Merak, Olga, FlexLM licensing software etc.). I have more than 15 year of experience in this area. I began as programmer in Mantis an Cobol in IBM mainframe and also as computation instructor.

Recently I did the upgrade/migration of ProSource, ProSource Front Office from version 2013.6 to version 2016 in Cardon IV– Caracas. This process include the upgrade of Oracle from version 11gR2 to 12c in database (Linux ) and client site in Windows Server 2012 R2, also were updated to new versions ArcSDE, ArcGIS for Server and ArcGIS for Desktop. In this project of upgrading/migration is also very important the backup a restore strategy in order to preserve the production and data environment of the client. This project was finished successfully in October, 2016.
