In a large, 5-year IT program the client replaces their proprietary core banking application set and the underlying infrastructure with a new standard software which is able to run in a cloud environment. The new standard software needs to be integrated in a landscape of ~60 surrounding applications. Scope of the engagement was to plan the last integration phase (Slice-C), moderate workshops to create storybooks and prepare the dress rehearsal for a big bang go live with all 60 applications. Result: A consolidated storybook with over 3000 tasks from 60 applications ready to be executed in a rollout tool and a 4-stage dress rehearsal concept to perform effective dry runs before go live.

2016 - Infrastructure Consultant @ Leading Swiss telecommunication provider (Zürich/Bern)
The client designs and builds a new private and public cloud platform to keep up with customer requirements and to replace various existing solutions. Scope of the engagement was to review the intended architecture, support in the vendor selection process and act as a trusted advisor during the first two project phases. Result: A cutting-edge technology stack for a future proof platform to meet high customer demands. An effective and agile (SAFe) project setup to make the new platform ready for production in only 9 months.

2016 - Program Management Consultant @ Global Bank (Zürich)

2015 - 2016 - Project Manager @ Leading Swiss Railway Company (Bern)
Design and build a new, secure multi-provider network zone for a critical and core rail control application with maximum availability and performance (throughput, latency) requirements. Step-by-step migration of all components into the new environment. Challenge: Zero downtime and high performance demand required very detailed planning, extensive testing, accurate execution and risk management. Result: Successful migration without business impact. Long existing network thresholds eliminated.

2015 - Project Manager @ Major Swiss University Hospital (Bern)
Large infrastructure lifecycle and cloud migration project affecting the majority of the client’s applications, including very critical hospital applications with highest availability demands. Scope of the engagement was an analysis of the application landscape and the underlying infrastructure on end of life criteria (hardware, operating system, platform, database) as well as a cloud readiness assessment together with suppliers for each application in order to identify cloud migration potential. Result: Consolidation and migration of 150 application servers and 300 SQL/Oracle databases to a new cloud platform which resulted in a significant reduction of operational costs, increased operational stability and enabled optimization in licensing.
