German insurance company based in Hannover, specializing in provision of business-to-business insurance.
The insurance company executed a program to optimize costs and streamline the internal IT service provider.
My responsibilities and values added to the project:
* Assessed all telecommunication and network services and aligned new IT-service strategies
* Drove decision between a service integrator model, owner model and outsourcing for all
telecommunication and network services on top management level
* Defined and executed measures to generate quick wins in terms of quality and cost
* Managed RfIs, RfPs, provider selections, contract negotiations, transformation and transition for
o WAN services (MPLS, xDSL and VPN) for ~1.000 German and ~30 international locations with
the result of 50 % cost savings (OPEX)
o SIP and office LAN services for ~11.000 employees in 60 offices with the result of 30 % cost
savings (OPEX)
* Calculated business cases for all IT-service, prepared and drove C-level decisions, reported to
program management and C-level
* Stakeholder management, budget planning, budget sourcing, budget tracking, staffing, scope
management, requirements management, issue & risk management, milestone planning and tracking
