The project was executed by BERYK Consulting GmbH as contractor of Autoliv AB. In this role, the primary focus was to strengthen global product management within the product lifecycle process, with a particular emphasis on integrating electronic and mechatronic systems such as Steer-by-Wire.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing the product strategy to support short-, mid-, and long-term business plans, emphasizing profitability and growth.
  • Identifying product needs, defining the product portfolio, and creating a serial product maintenance plan.
  • Driving the Product Strategy, outlining where to play and how to win.

Development of an ASIL-D ECU for an electrohydraulic rear axle steering system for commercial vehicles.
Project description:
The project was executed by BERYK Consulting GmbH as contractor of Weber-Hy- draulik GmbH. In concrete terms, the role of project manager for the development of an ECU for a new type of electrohydraulic commercial vehicle rear axle steering sys- tem was fulfilled for a period of 12 months.
The project included the development of the hardware for the ECU as well as the software according to ASIL-D. Part of the project was also the setup of an ASPICE as well as ISO26262 and ISO21434 compliant development.
Project team size: 10 - 20 People + Sub suppliers Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for leading the project team
  • Responsible for the general execution and monitoring of all project internal tasks as well as the planning and completion of the individual project phases and milestones
  • Responsible for the resource and budget planning of the project

Development of a force feedback actuator integrated into the steering wheel for steer-by-wire systems.

Project description:

The project involved the development of a force feedback actuator for future steer- by-wire steering systems. A special challenge in was that this technology is new and not yet available on the market. As an ASIL-D project, special focus was placed on the requirements for functional safety and compliance with the new ISO standard 21434 on cyber security.

    The project involved adapting an existing active steering system to two new vehicle platforms and transferring it to series production. The challenge was to adapt the ASIL-D steering system to the new requirements and to control and synchronize all four production plants involved in the production chain. Furthermore, the project con- sisted of a top project and two sub-projects which also had to be harmonized.

  • Point of contact for the customer OEM as well as for all technical parties involved in the project such as quality and test.
