Job Title: Freelance Functional Safety Consultant - Automotive (Truck Inverter Project)Location: Remote (1 business trip to Bavaria)
Company Overview:
Our industry-leading client, based in Bavaria, are looking for a Freelance Functional Safety Consultant to join their team for a truck inverter project. This project focuses on hardware engineering and involves collaborating with one of our OEM customers. The role involves managing a team of System and Safety engineers, ensuring compliance with ISO 26262 standards, and conducting FMEDA activities to enhance the functional safety of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Functional Safety Manager tasks in accordance with ISO 26262 and FMEDA.
- Evaluate and interpret Safety Standards relevant to the project.
- Facilitate and prepare Safety and Risk Analysis sessions.
- Provide support to the System & Safety teams, addressing all aspects of Functional Safety.
Profile:
- Experience with ASIL C Projects and above, demonstrating a strong understanding of ISO 26262.
- Preferred experience in E-Mobility, Electric Drive, or Power Electronics.
- Previous hardware-level project experience in functional safety.
- Knowledge of ASPICE (Automotive Software Performance Improvement and Capability Determination) is a plus.
